How to Find Warehouses

Three reliable methods for locating warehouses, plus how to enter and clear them.

Last updated:

What warehouses look like

Warehouses are large, boxy industrial buildings with metal doors and no windows. From a distance they look like grey rectangles against the green and brown landscape. In the 1.0 chapter every warehouse roof is a flat platform that hosts the Trash Bot boss.

Method 1: follow the roads

Every warehouse is near a road. Drive along the road network in your world and watch the horizon. A warehouse silhouette is visible from at least 500 blocks away on a clear day. This is the easiest method and the one the developers intended.

Method 2: ask the Trader

After completing the 1.0 questline, the Trader reveals the location of the closest warehouse. Walk to the Trader hideout and interact with them — a new dialog option appears that places a compass marker on the nearest warehouse. This method is faster than Method 1 but requires questline completion.

Method 3: use the Warehouse Key drop

Once you start farming Farmbots for Warehouse Keys, you receive a compass marker that points to the nearest warehouse that you have not yet unlocked. This is the natural progression: kill Farmbots → get keys → unlock warehouses → clear them for loot.

How to enter a warehouse

  1. Drive to the warehouse entrance.
  2. Have at least one Warehouse Key in your inventory.
  3. Click the metal door.
  4. The door opens and the dungeon becomes hostile.

If you do not have a Warehouse Key, the door is locked. Farm more Farmbots or check your chests — Warehouse Keys stack to 99.

What is inside

The interior layout is procedural but consistent across all warehouses:

  • Ground floor: Pineapple and Broccoli crates, plus Schematic pickups.
  • Mezzanine: Tapebot nests and Conveyor belts with rare components.
  • Roof: the Trash Bot boss arena with the best loot.

Why warehouses matter

Warehouses are the only consistent source of:

  • Pineapple and Broccoli seeds (the best food in the game).
  • Plasma Drill schematics (the underground mining endgame).
  • Schematicbot recipes for late-game Craftbot parts.

If you skip warehouses, you skip half of the game’s progression.

Common warehouse mistakes

  • Going in without a Spud Gun. Haybots and Tapebots will overwhelm you.
  • Skipping the roof. The Trash Bot drops are mandatory for late-game progression.
  • Forgetting a Battery. The dungeon is dark and your headlights draw agro.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Are there warehouses in every biome?

Do I need a helicopter to reach some warehouses?

Only warehouses in the Mountain biome. Use a helicopter or a hovercraft to reach those.

Can I sneak past the Trash Bot?

No. The boss triggers when you reach the roof and you must defeat it to leave.
