From your crash site, follow the road until you reach the illuminated wrench sign — that is where every part of your survival run begins.
Use the Craftbot to assemble a seat, wheels and a battery. A simple vehicle lets you haul logs, collect wrecks and reach warehouses before night raids.
Plant at least 64 blocks away from other crops to avoid early Farmbot raids, and wall your fields in before sundown.
Bring produce crates and a Caged Farmer to the Trader hideout. The Spud Gun is the only reliable answer to Farmbots.

It is the July 24, 2026 full-release update that adds Chapter 2: a redesigned survival terrain, full underground caverns, Plasma Drills, the Ore Crusher, Schematics, the Trash Bot boss and a long list of new building parts.
English (root), Français, and Deutsch. Game content is fully translated; in-depth pages and updates are kept up to date in English first, then localised for French and German readers.
Solo Survival is absolutely viable, especially with the new Difficulty options added in earlier patches. Multiplayer makes raids easier but every guide here is designed to be useful in either mode.
Scrap Mechanic is a PC-only experience today — there is no console or mobile release. The wiki focuses on the Steam version on Windows, with notes for Mac/Linux players where applicable.
